On August 8, 2009, Chelsea and Colt were married at Chickamauga National Military Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This was the third and final wedding that I photographed while living on my friend's farm in the North Carolina Appalachian Mountains. Chelsea and Colt had a beautiful little ceremony in the middle of a giant field. The light that day is the best I had yet for a wedding, painting everything golden, including the happy couple. Chelsea's daughter Gracie, slightly pouty after having been woken early from her nap, was an adorable and comic addition to the wedding party. The reception was a small family dinner at an Italian restaurant. I was impressed by Chelsea and Colt's humor and gentleness as parents, Gracie's spark, as well as the general feeling of warmth and family support surrounding the couple.
