I spent most of the summer helping out on my friend Kate's blueberry farm in Burnsville, NC. Kate and I go all the way back to high school, and may have aided and abetted one and other in getting into a little trouble once upon a time. Now, along with our other 'sister' friend Lindsey, we are running our own business, starting families, and waking up each morning wondering how we all go so lucky. Kate's boyfriend Brian is the head chef of Tupelo Honey Cafe, and was crazy/wonderful enough to come home from work everyday and cook us amazing dinners. They have a beautiful little baby boy named Jack, who was baptized while I was there. The ceremony was lovely, and Kate & Brian had a lot of love and support from family, friends, and their community.
