I was fortunate enough to shoot a wedding in my home town of Charlotte, NC this summer. Patrice and Bashawn were married on July, 11 2009. At first the couple seemed a little shy, but as the day unfolded their love, and shared since of humor became radiant. One of my favorite moments at this wedding was when Patrice's sorority sisters held hands in a circle around her and sang a song, and then afterwords the ladies all preformed an elaborate dance led by their pinkies. There was such a sense of warmth and joy between the women, and it was a lovely addition to the rite of passage that is marriage. Congratulations to Patrice and Bashawn!
